Keeping the “quality over quantity” principle alive, Miguel opted for subtle Exterior mods including am FULL- COLOR change to Blaze orange metallic from the RSX type-S, Yellow Oem fogs, custom retrofitted OEM Honda front lip, Arp splitters, and an SSR bumper quick release kit.Īn SSR bumper quick release kit? Why? You ask…. The Ground Control coil-overs coupled with Koni yellows, Blackworks extended lug-nuts, Blackworks lower control arms, Blackworks sub brace, Blackworks Tie bar resulted in a firm ride and great handling. Rolling on a set of Jline Sdmsl2’s (16×8 +20) wrapped in 205/40-16 Falken Ziex 512’s was not an issue. From the RSX Type-S black leather seats, EM2 steering wheel, Rear Seat delete wrapped in black leather(customized by Miguel himself), CTR shift boot and the Skunk2 10th anniversary shift knob. It’s actually quite deceiving until you jump inside and notice the interior has been carefully thought out. At first glance, the EM1 doesn’t appear to be much different than any other. Working against the pressures of time, we rushed to find suitable locations so I had little time to admire the exterior. On day one I linked up with Miguel Paz, member of Team Kindred Impulse, and owner of the ’99 Honda Civic Si (EM1) we will be looking at today. My recent trip to a small town known as Mandarin, located in the suburbs of Jacksonville, Florida proves that dedication and passion for tuning can be found just about anywhere. so you might not have too much of a problem after all.As we strive to set State of Stance apart from the rest, we sometimes have to venture outside our hometown to award those who deserve the SOS approval. This is coming from the service department of the dealer. He said they installed Eibachs and did an alignment job. I actually talked to the manager of a Riverside Infiniti dealer that brought in a brand new G for a dyno run at the Stillen meet last month or so. As long as it doesn't wear the tires too quickly, i can live with something like that. The adjusters cost a pretty penny so i'll have to think about getting them, plus i like the aggressive look of negative camber. Some say a simple alignment fixes the car to get back within factory specs while others say they had to get the adjusters (some just for camber, some for both camber & toe).Ĭuz i hear so many differing stories, i plan to get an alignment after i lower my car and get rims to see how bad it gets. I've heard different stories from different G owners that have lowered their cars (using Teins and Eibachs). So much so i check the insides of my tires often just to be sure it is not prematurely wearing. My stock camber is pretty agressive, IMO. Where did you pick up your eibachs and how do you like it over your stock?Īs far as the question of negative camber - I don't know how much your definition of slight is, but negative camber is built into our cars for better handling performance. How much you spending on the Jline wheels? Just wondering, i'm looking for wheels too.
